Featuring ROGER CALHOUN Pottery

Roger Calhoun is a ceramic artist based in Arizona, specializing in hand-thrown stoneware, raku, and horsehair pottery. He discovered ceramics in high school and honed his craft in production studios across the Southwest and New York before returning to Arizona in 1990 to start his own business.

Known for his mastery of traditional techniques, Roger’s raku work is deeply influenced by his belief that the artist must be in tune with fire, temperature, and timing to reveal the final piece. His horsehair pottery is celebrated for its unique glazes and metallic finishes. Roger continues to create his distinctive pottery from his studio in Mesa, Arizona.
